MAT 2018

MAT 2018 – MAT 2018 (Management Aptitude Test) will be conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA) in the month of September. This examination will be organized into two modes, the offline mode which consists of paper-pencil and the online mode is a computer-based. Offline mode will be held on September 2 and online mode will be conducted on September 15, 2018, respectively. The application process has been started from 30th June 2018. The candidates who want to register themselves for the entrance examination can get register for offline and online mode before August 24 and September 8 respectively. The time duration for MAT 2018 is 2 hours 30 minutes (150 minutes). The exam will be conducted from 10 AM to 12.30 PM. The admit card for offline mode will be available from August 25 and from September 11, 2018, for online mode. MAT score is accepted by more than 600 Business schools across India. MAT is conducted for the four times in a year such as in the month of February, May, September, and December, for the admissions to MBA/PGDM programmes at various management institutes. MAT 2018 Eligibility Criteria

All India Management Association prescribes the eligibility criteria for MAT 2018.

The below mentioned are the eligibility criteria for MAT 2018.

  • The aspirants must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or Institute.
  • The Final year graduation students can also apply for MAT 2018. The thing which they need to do is to submit their documents as a proof of completion of graduation within the prescribed time.
  • Anyone can appear as there is no age limit prescribed.

MAT 2018 Application Form

The application form of MAT 2018 for the month of September is available from June 30, 2018. The last date for the application procedure is August 24 for offline mode and September 8 for online mode. The MAT 2019 application form is available in both online and offline mode. The candidates can pay the application either online (debit/credit or net banking) or offline mode (demand draft). The applicants who are registering themselves online need to upload their digital image of photograph & signature and online payment.

The application fee for the entrance examination id RS. 1500for all category candidates. The candidates who want to apply offline can fill the printout of the MAT 2018 September application form and are required to send it to the AIMA address along with the application fee.

The candidates can also write the examination in both online and offline mode but the application fee, in that case, will be Rs. 2650. 

MAT 2018 Exam Pattern

MAT will be conducted in both modes such as offline and online. The candidates can select any of the modes while filling the application form. The exam will contain 200 objective type questions divided which will be divided into five sections. The time duration of the MAT 2018 exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes (150 minutes). The candidates will get 1 mark for every right answer and 0.25 will be deducted for every wrong answer.

MAT 2018 Syllabus

The candidates need to study for the five sections which are mentioned in the exam pattern. The detailed information about MAT syllabus 2018 section-wise is given below:

  • Data Analysis and Sufficiency – Graphs, Charts, Bar Graphs, Pie Chart, Venn Diagram, Puzzles, Tables etc.
  • Indian and Global Environment –, Geography, History, Sports, Current Affairs, General Knowledge, Entertainment, Politics, Science, Awards, Business etc.
  • Intelligence and Critical Reasoning –Effect and Cause, Verbal Ability, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical Reasoning, Family Tree, Sequencing etc.
  • Language Comprehension – Grammar, Verbal Reasoning, Analogies, Odd man out, Sentence correction & completion, Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, Antonyms, Idioms etc.
  • Mathematical Skills – Geometry, Number System, Functions, Date and Time, Progression, Algebra, Averages, Ration, and Proportions etc.

MAT 2018 Admit Card 

After filling the application form the candidates will get the admit cards, they can successfully download the admit card from the official website of MAT. The admit card will be available for the candidates from August 25, 2018, and September 11, 2018, for offline and online mode respectively. Admit card is one of the necessary documents which the candidates need to carry during the exam, without the admit card the aspirants will not be allowed to appear for the same.

MAT 2018 Exam Centres

MAT 2018 will be held in more than 50 cities located all over India. Most of the exam center will conduct the only paper-based test. The Online test is conducted at very selected exam centers.

MAT 2018 Result

The result of MAT 2018 September will be declared on or after September 21. The aspirants are required to check MAT 2018 exam result on the official website by using their MAT Registration number and Roll Number. The MAT scorecard is sent by the examination conducting body to the candidates through post. The scorecard cum result of MAT 2018 will be valid for one year. More than 600 Business schools accept the MAT scorecard across India. Based on the MAT results the candidates will be shortlisted for the selection procedure. 

MAT 2018 Cutoff

After the declaration of result, the candidates are then shortlisted by the participating institutes based on the cutoff marks for the selection procedure. The MAT 2018 cutoff can be either in the form of percentile or score. The cutoff score ranges from 250 to 700 varying from Business School to Business School.

MAT 2018 Selection Procedure

The selection procedure of MAT usually consists of three things such as Group Discussion, Personal Interview and or Written Ability Test (WAT). There is a different selection procedure for the different participating institute.  First, the candidates will be shortlisted by them based on MAT score and then the shortlisted candidates are called later for the selection rounds at various participating institutes. Final admission selection is based on performance in all the selection rounds.
