You can use your Android phone as speaker for your PC. It can play audio video from your PC with Android phone or over Wi-Fi or USB device. Use Android phone as speaker for your Computer over Wi-Fi
Follow bellow steps to use Android phone as speaker for your Computer.
Step 1: Install SoundWire(free) app from the Play Store.
Step 2: Download and install SoundWire server from official website.
Note: The server is available only for Windows, Linux and Raspberry Pi. So this method will not work for MAC users.
Step 3: Connect your Android phone to the same Wi-Fi network as of your PC.
Notes : Wi-Fi network should be name to perform these task
Step 4: Open SoundWire app on your android phone and hit on the SoundWire logo once.
Step 5: Check the status on SoundWire server. If this connected then you can now use Android phone as speaker for your Computer .
If hitting on the app logo doesn’t work then you will have to enter the server address manually. It will select the default multimedia device on the server software.
You can record and save any types of audio video that is play on your computer using Record to File . It saves the final result in the mp3 format. Also, you can control the output volume using Audio Output. This way you will not have to use volume lockers on phone.
Use Android phone as speaker for your Computer over USB
Step 1: Connect your Android smart phone with computer through USB.
Step 2: Go to additional Wi-Fi network settings on your phone.
Step 3: Turn on USB tethering and connect to your mobile network.
Step 4: Open SoundWire server on your computer and allow on both private and public network access to the server software.
Step 5: Enter the server address on the SoundWire Android app.
Step 6: Hit on the SoundWire app logo inside the app and get started to use your phone as speaker.
The server address in this case will be different than the Wi-Fi method.
Overall the app working fine and it’s really free version too. You may seen little lag while playing the audio with any of the above two methods.
