Step by Step  set Preferred domain setting with Google Webmaster

  1. Go to https://www.google.com/webmasters/.
  2. Login to webmaster Account.
  3. Click on Site Setting https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/settings.
  4. Check Display URLs as www.solutionshint.com  and save.
  5. Note 1: You may face issue after save because you need to verify your domain with www.sitename.com .
  6. Note 2: Because of in beginning you submitted your site name to sitename.com .
  7. So Go home https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/home .
  8. Add New Property with  (https://www.sitename.com)  and verify once again.
  9. If you are a WordPress Developer so don’t Forget WordPress Address (URL) from sitename.com to www.sitename.com .
  10. Settings > General  Site Address (URL) .
  11. Done.
